India Travel Information in Manikaran Sahib,Manikaran Sahib in Kullu District, 45 KM away from Kullu.Manikaran is situated at an altitude of 1760 m.The place was visited by Guru Nanak Dev during his travels.The water is so hot, Thousands of people take a holy dip in hot waters here.According to an old legend, Manikaran is connected with Lord Shiva and his divine consort, Parvati, who lost her ear rings here, which gave birth to hot waters on the bank of  Parvati river,visited this place to spend time in meditation.

Religious centre
Manikaran is a pilgrimage center for Hindus and Sikhs. Hindus believe that Manu recreated human life in Manikaran after the flood, so it is the sacred area. It has a lot of temples and gurudwara. [1] is the temple of Lord Rama, Krishna and Vishnu. [2] The area is known for its hot springs [3], and its beautiful landscape.

According to legend, when Lord Shiva and his consort Parvati entered the valley, Parvati dropped one of her earrings. The jewel was captured by Shesha, the serpent deity, who then disappeared into the ground with it. Shesha only gave the jewel, where Shiva performs the cosmic dance, Tandava and pulled the jewelry through the water. Apparently, the jewelry is still thrown into the water to Manikaran until the earthquake of 1905.

Sikh Faith
Sikhs in the third Udas Guru Nanak Dev Ji came to this place for 15 Asu 1574 Bikram and his disciples Bhai Bhai Bala & Mardana.Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji was with Bhai Bala and Bhai Mani Mardana Karan Bhai Mardana region and was hunger and they had no food. Guru Nanak sent his good friend Bhai Mardana collect food for the Langar (community kitchen). Many people donate flour (atta) to make roti (bread). One problem was that there was no fire to cook food. Guru Nanak asked Mardana to lift a stone and Bhai Mardana then lifted a rock and a heat source (hot water) appeared.As led by Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Mardana put chappatis spring rolled his dismay, they cast chappatis. Guru Nanak told him to pray to God that if his chappatis float then it would give a chappati the name of God. When he asked all chappatis began to flow properly cooked.Guru Nanak Dev Ji said that those who donate in the name of God, in his (or her) back to the float, lost items.

Hindu Belief
Legend has it that wandering Manikaran by Lord Shiva and Parvati, goddess, once by chance in a place that was surrounded by lush mountains and was. Love with the beauty of the place, decided to spend time there. It is believed that actually happened 1100 years here.

During their stay here, lost the Mani's Goddess Parvati in the waters of a stream. Upset by the loss, she begged Shiva to download. The water spread over the surface resulting from the emergence of the pearl-like goddess Parvati had lost. Lord Shiva and goddess Parvati was happy with the result.

Manikaran The name derives from this legend. The water is still hot and is considered very promising. A pilgrimage to this place is considered complete. It is also believed that there is no need to make a visit to Kashi, after visiting this place. The spring water is also believed to have healing powers. The water is so hot you can cook rice in it.
